Today we buy an island hopper pass that allows us to take ferries as many times as we want for 4 days. Our first destination is Taketomi, an island of around 300 inhabitants. The main attractions there are the beaches, some of which with star sand, and the old fashioned village.

I almost forgot, that evening we went to see the fireflies. It's the end of the season but there were still hundreds! A guide took us in the forest just before nightfall and explained all the sounds we were hearing while we waited for the fireflies to light up.
