This morning, after a good night of sleep only slightly interrupted by some random "poulet citron" shouts (lime, the bird on my head), I set off with one aim : finding an ATM that agrees to give me money.
That was pretty quickly done, so I took a detour home, and had my first encounter with an autochtone who wanted to make sure I was being careful about the snakes and invited me to go and visit Nagano.
After what Laura picked me up and took me to a lovely café with a very nice view on the sea.
She then dropped me off at a nice and quiet waterfall...
...where my wanderings started. I decided to walk to her workplace.
I found intriguing plants...
...impressive vegetation (well, actually that's just all over the place, wherever you go)...
... random prettiness...
...stairs going down into a sea of greenery...
...Oh, and...
... The ocean ! With more random prettiness.
Not to forget striking trees and flowers I am not used to by the gallon.
I may even have fallen asleep on the beach, by the shade of a rock, for a minute or 40 (I wouldn't know, but that's normally how long my body clock allows me to nap).
Basically a very good first contact with the island of Okinawa before we fly to Osaka tomorrow.
Edit : I almost forgot the traditional old fashioned public bath.
